• Name, phone number, email address — provided when making a booking or registering as a transport operator.
• Pickup and drop locations — provided during booking to facilitate the trip.
• Payment proof screenshots — uploaded by customers to confirm offline payments (UPI/bank transfer). We do not collect card numbers or banking credentials.
• Device information and app usage data — collected automatically to improve app performance (crash logs, session data).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To process and confirm transport bookings.
• To send booking confirmation, payment status, and trip reminder notifications.
• To allow transport operators to contact customers about their bookings.
• To improve the platform and resolve technical issues.

4. Data Sharing

We share your booking details (name, phone, pickup/drop location) with the transport operator assigned to your booking. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with law enforcement if required by Indian law.

5. Data Retention

Booking data is retained for up to 3 years for dispute resolution and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

StarenBus is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and tenant-scoped data access controls. Uploaded payment screenshots are stored in secure object storage.
