⚠ Important — Read Before Using
StarenBus is a technology platform only. We do not own, operate, or manage any vehicle. We do not collect payments. All transport services are provided by independent operators. Disputes regarding bookings, payments, and trip quality must be resolved directly with the transport operator.
1. Platform Nature & Intermediary Status
StarenBus is a technology intermediary as defined under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. It is operated by Starengts, a software company based in India.
StarenBus does notown, manage, or operate any vehicle. All vehicles listed on the platform are independently owned and operated by third-party transport businesses (“Operators”). Starengts is not a transport operator, vehicle owner, cab aggregator, or carrier under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
By using this platform you acknowledge that StarenBus acts solely as a technology intermediary facilitating connections between customers and operators.
2. Payment Disclaimer
StarenBus does not collect, hold, process, or intermediate any payment between customers and operators. All payments (UPI, bank transfer, cash, or any other method) are made directly by the customer to the operator.
StarenBus has no liability for: payment disputes; refund delays; failed or incorrect transfers; or any financial loss arising from transactions between customers and operators.
Refunds, cancellation charges, and payment disputes are governed solely by the operator’s own policies. Contact your operator directly to resolve any payment issue.
3. Operator Obligations
By registering as an operator on StarenBus, you agree to:
- Maintain valid vehicle registration (RC), insurance, PUC, and fitness certificates for all listed vehicles.
- Provide accurate, up-to-date vehicle descriptions, photos, and pricing on the platform.
- Honor all confirmed bookings. Unilateral cancellations without customer consent are a violation of these terms.
- Resolve payment disputes with customers within 48 hours of the dispute being raised.
- Comply with the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025 and all applicable state transport regulations.
- Not list vehicles that are not roadworthy, uninsured, or otherwise non-compliant with law.
- Ensure driver conduct is lawful, professional, and safe at all times.
4. Customer Obligations
By using StarenBus as a customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate name, phone number, and email address when booking.
- Not submit fraudulent, edited, or duplicate payment proof screenshots.
- Not make fake, test, or duplicate bookings intended to harass operators.
- Contact the operator directly for all support related to an ongoing trip.
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with Indian law.
5. Booking Confirmation & Cancellation
A booking is confirmed only after the assigned operator manually reviews and verifies payment proof. Operators set their own cancellation and refund policies which are displayed on their booking pages.
StarenBus is not liable for operator-level cancellation decisions. In the event of a platform-level disruption (e.g., tenant account suspension), affected customers will be notified with reasonable notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, Starengts shall not be liable for:
- The quality, safety, condition, or roadworthiness of any vehicle listed on the platform.
- Conduct, behaviour, or negligence of any driver or operator.
- Trip delays, cancellations, accidents, or no-shows.
- Loss of or damage to passenger property during transit.
- Payment disputes between operators and customers.
- Data loss arising from third-party service failures (hosting, database, email providers).
Starengts’s aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the platform subscription fee paid by the relevant operator in the calendar month preceding the claim.
7. Data Protection (DPDP Act, 2023)
By using this platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your name, phone number, email address, and booking details for the purpose of facilitating vehicle bookings and platform operations.
- Data is retained for a period of 3 years from the date of last activity.
- Your booking details may be shared with the operator assigned to your booking.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties.
- To withdraw consent or request deletion of your data, email privacy@starengts.com or use the Delete Account option in the app.

8. Intellectual Property
All platform software, design, branding, and content (including the StarenBus and Starengts names and logos) are owned by Starengts. Operators and customers may not scrape, copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform. Vehicle listings remain the property of the respective operators.
9. Prohibited Use
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:
- Submitting fake or fraudulently altered payment screenshots.
- Creating bookings with false identity information.
- Attempting to access accounts or data belonging to other users.
- Using the platform to facilitate illegal transportation, human trafficking, or any activity prohibited under Indian law.
- Systematic scraping, automated booking, or API abuse.
Starengts reserves the right to report prohibited activities to law enforcement authorities.
10. Grievance Redressal
As required under Rule 4(2) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have designated a Grievance Officer:

Response time: Acknowledged within 24 hours. Resolved within 15 days.
For platform-related complaints (not trip/payment disputes — those go directly to the operator), contact the Grievance Officer above.
11. Modifications to These Terms
Starengts may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered users via in-app notification at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
